Support two stellar causes in Chicago this week for under $50

Did you make a New Year's resolution to volunteer or support a charity? Now is your chance!

Recently, a local start-up called BunchBite launched online. It is similar to GroupOn, but it benefits local charities at the same time. This week's deal benefits One Hope United, a multi-faceted nonprofit human service agency that helps abused and neglected children as well as helps foster children find their forever homes. And that isn't all they do! Check out One Hope United's website to learn more.

In the meantime, purchase this week's BunchBite to Paddy O'Splaines in Chicago. You get $40 worth of food and drinks for only 20 bucks and it is perfect for Irish loving Chicago folks just in time for St. Patrick's Day! So look at that, you get $40 worth of delicious corned beef and beer and One Hope United gets to help children in need---win, win!

Also this week, Billy Dec hosts a social media anniversary party to benefit the Chicago Food Depository. The event takes place at Billy's Rockit Bar & Grill, 22 W. Hubbard in Chicago's River North neighborhood on Thursday, Feb. 3 from 7 - 9 p.m. Tickets are available in advance online for $20 or it is $40 at the door. Become a VIP Supporter for $100! 100 percent of ticket sales benefit the Chicago Food Depository.

Check out the clever video Billy made to promote the event:

I rocked in a fabulous New Year's Eve at Rockit River North! If you haven't been, this is a great chance to check out Rockit while supporting one of Chicago's finest nonprofits, helping feed Chicago's hungry. Guests will nosh on signature dishes from Rockit and Sunda as well as creative cocktails by Underground and Grey Goose. Tweet me if you are going and we can meet up at Rockit to benefit a great cause on Thursday!

So let's go over your action items one more time:

1. Purchase a BunchBite for Paddy O'Splaines and support One Hope United at the same time. You get $40 worth of Irish grub and spirits, OHU gets a portion of the proceeds and overall, you have a fun and charitable time!

2. Purchase a ticket to Billy Dec's A Chicago Thing party benefiting Chicago Food Depository. You get to try fabulous cocktails and food from Dec's hot, hot, hot restaurants and CFD keeps feeding Chicago's hungry children and families.

Namaste Chicago foodies and nonprofit supporters!
